To enable Apple CarPlay, the system requires a Bluetooth headset (a helmet headset, a Bluetooth adapter, or a Cardo etc.) to be connected as a “microphone”. This is a hard requirement from Apple’s CarPlay architecture. As a result, navigation voice is routed to that headset – not to the bike’s built‑in speakers.
